Foam, Film and Food
It's been a long time since I last had some time to blog and there are many exciting things going on! Firstly, a little trip off to Amsterdam to have some meetings, off to Utrecht to see my book designers and finalise the details of my forthcoming publication, which is slowly coming together but it very well worth the wait! Then Foam Photography Museum and onto the new Film centre across from Amsterdam city to have a lovely lunch with Hans, Adrian, David and Jaap - thank you all very much for a lovely trip.

Year Two - 731 Days

And so it dawns the second year, 731 days. It’s still a shock, its still hurts like nothing I’ve ever felt before, but this year something has changed.
Time has certainly helped, but at times is still a hindrance and as every year goes by we all heal a little more.
So it is time to finally set this body of work free, let it breath for itself and be honest ad true in its unedited entirety. I can’t say more than this was something that was so important in the process, my process and I feel it shows what happened, how I felt, how I feel without edits or ego. It simply uses photography as a process to aid my grief and nothing more.
To my dearest friend, I love you and will never forget you. You showed me how simple it needs to me, and how to believe, for that and everything else you stood for, this body of work and everything else I ever make will have you in it and be inspired by you. Thank You.

Thank You Cadiz

So the adventure started last Friday morning, early! It was a very family affair as my partner, I and my parents took to the skies and flew to Gibraltar to then drive into Spain and onto Cadiz. What an adventure it was, filled with much laughter and an abundance of great food and wine, not to mention the beautiful space that was the ECCO where the exhibition was held. From start to finish, every minute of the trip was fantastic. The city of Cadiz itself is stunning and I would strongly recommend that if you are in the area, near Seville, then take the hour long drive to Cadiz, because the old city is truly lovely and the many restaurants, plaza's are great to enjoy a beer in the evening sun, (which we seemed to do a lot of!)
The exhibition opening was a great success with the Mayor of the city and other museum directors opening the show. The space is stunning, with arched ceilings and marbled floors, it was a true pleasure and honour to be exhibiting in such a great venue and in fact to be taken on a guided tour of the city at night by the major as well as an excellent meal - thank you very much to the city of Cadiz for making our stay so pleasurable.

So "Alice in Wonderland" tours early than expected! The European Capital of Culture exhibition from Logomo tours from Turku, Finland to the new Contemporary Art Museum in Cadiz, the Espacio de Creación Contemporánea (ECCO). So with that in mind, I am off on Friday morning to sunny Spain for the opening - I am very excited, the space looks absolutely beautiful and I hear the city is stunning. I will post on my return the installation shots.

PICA & QUAD

Here are the installation shots from both PICA, the last two images and QUAD the top two. Very many thanks to both exhibition venues for providing installation shots, particularly PICA as I couldn't attend the opening in Perth, but the venue look incredible. QUAD looks fantastic and I am very pleased to be part of both. The publication produced in conjunction to this is really beautiful and I will post this soon.
More information on both venues can be found below:
